The Ayuntaniento of La Oliva (Town Hall) has put up signs at the southern end of Piedra Playa warning of the danger from a cliff landslides.
There have been a number of cliff landslides over the years between southern end of Piedra Playa (Surfers’ Beach) and the next beach, which is really only accessible at low tide. This means walking under the cliffs to get there.
I took the photo below in October 2012 after some heavy rain. This obviously destablised the cliffs causing the cliff to breakaway. Eventually this lead to a cliff landslide.
